Alpha Omega was fun! We had fourteen ladies come out to play, three nine-holers and the rest played Alpha Omega. Kathleen Lee had a great day! She won the game by over ten strokes, she won the chip in pot and she got a birdie! (It was a chip-in birdie on hole #2) Ann Gouchner took 2nd place and Judy Lenz took 3rd. Debbie Cloud had a birdie on hole #17. The weather was perfect and Kathleen put out salad and lunch fixins afterwards.

Tomorrow is Our Play Day :)
Tee time is 9:00 am. Our scheduled game is "Alpha Omega". We will play regular stroke play golf, but when deciding the winners we will take the scores from the first four holes and the last five holes and use 1/2 of the handicap.
Okay, onto another JDWGA item.... Shirley Lee, our Secretary/Treasurer, is having to resign for personal reasons and we need someone to fill her shoes! Could you?

Visitation Results
The weather wasn't the best... but the rain held off until the last two holes. As "Golf Governor" doing this for the first time, I really enjoyed it... especially filling in the blanks as the score cards came in and seeing the winners emerge... and here they are!

Visitation Tomorrow!
We have thirty ladies signed up to play and have lunch tomorrow for our annual visitation. If you can bring a snack to share at the turn it will be appreciated!

Since a huge group left today for the "Winnemucca Blast", we only had nine gals come play this morning. Too bad because it was a lovely morning! We played low gross, low net in two flights. Winners are:

We had a JDWGA meeting after pizza and golf. We discussed the food and prizes for next week's visitation, our committment to the upcoming Jack and Jenny tournament (lunches and a steak dinner), and we talked about a new event, a "Member-Guest" TGIF golf scramble scheduled for Friday, June 19th. This sounds like lots of fun and a great way to encourage new golfers. The green fees will be only $10 for guests and a "bring your own meat" barbecue will follow. Please mark your calendars and plan on participating!
